Re: JJ-CCR
David Thomson :
"Guys we are noticing an unusually high incidence of flooded or wet solenoids, water can only get in one way and thats down the feed hose so here are some recommendations to minimise this problem
do NOT do any drills or skills which involve De- pressurising the o2 side while underwater, even just closing the cylinder valve can allow water to get in-between the first stage and the valve if pressure is lost. When you are doing solenoid stuck open drills I recommend you just shut the o2 valve and flush quickly with dil and then quickly open the o2 valve again to maintain pressure.
always check that your cylinder is clean and dry before assembly. I have had wet o2 fills in the past so be extra careful with this
if you wash your hoses make sure they are perfectly dry before assembly and do not allow water to enter the first stage
When connecting or disconnecting the o2 feed hose be extra careful that it is perfectly dry and no water can drip in off of your hands or hair
when you strip you unit after a days diving to dry the head make sure you put it somewhere warm and dry and make sure the head is completely dry before assembly.
if you suspect there may be water in the solenoid take the head out connect the o2 supply and fire the solenoid whilst holding a white tissue in front of the outlet, if any water of rust is blown onto the tissue the solenoid will need to be stripped and examined.
If you think your solenoid is suddenly slowing down then examine for rust or water.
I would also recommend you have your solenoid serviced at least once a year."
Voilà.

Re: JJ-CCR
Bravo !
"EN14143:2013 - The odyssey is over!
It was a long journey, but today it is our pleasure to announce the successful CE for the JJ-CCR rebreather
DiveCAN. We are very proud to be one of the first, or maybe the very first rebreather manufacturer with a
CE according the new EN14143:2013 standard! The CE demonstrates our commitment to the European market
and that we take the local rules and regulations serious.
Our special thanks goes to all involved people, and especially to Dave Thompson and Dietmar Inäbnit. Both of
them worked extremely hard to achieve the CE. We also would like to thank our instructors and customers for
there patience and understanding.
The download section of our homepage has been updated with the new CE user manual, price list and CE certification.
To make it easier for you to find the right downloads the structure has been changed. All downloads for the
“JJ-CCR rebreather DiveCAN” can be found in one section and everything, which is related to the older version,
can be found underneath “JJ-CCR rebreather – analog”
There is a huge backlog for the “JJ-CCR DiveCAN CE Edition”. We are awaiting the new CE plates from our
supplier and as soon as we get them, everything will be done to get them out as fast as possible.
Best regards
Jan Petersen
